Uallach Dubh 6th of Pollok (UK NEP080335)

This is a bull with a unique pedigree and some scale and growth about him. We have looked for some time to find a black bull with size and structural correctness (& good feet!) & here he is. With all this, he gives up nothing in Highland character, throwing great heads and plenty of hair. He has length and depth, as well as considerable heart room

We imported this bull's semen in 2012, and his calves have inherited his quiet nature and are a pleasure to work with. Uallach was bred by one of the most well known show folds in Scottland (the Pollok Fold in Glasgow) and was sold on to the Claon Estate, where he is described as "cuddlesome". Notably, he allows himself to be ridden by the 6 and 9 year old grandchildren. He also fails to bat an eyelid when the Golden Retriever puppy hangs off his tail growling.

His dam, Siusan Ruadh 45th of Pollok, is still used as a display animal at the (Pollok Fold in Glasgow) at field days and fairs, both because of her striking looks and her beautiful, placid nature. The offspring of this bull have done extremely well in the show ring (see below) because of their size, structural correctness and their presence and balance in the show ring. They really stand out from the crowd.
