  • Brush, and maybe even cuddle a Highland cow on one of the largest Highland Cattle folds in Australia
  • See adorable Highland calves and Highland foals (& Bozley the dog of course)
  • See behind the scenes of a working Highland Cattle and Highland Pony farm
  • See breathtaking views of Melbourne city and the Lerderderg Ranges
  • Get a personalised, guided tour from the person who owns the farm in a 6-seater side-by side Can-Am

What to know:

  • How long? – allow 90 minutes
  • How Much? – $220 for 1st 2 people, $30pp after this (children under 2 years old are free)
  • Photos – you take as many as you want on your phone
  • A light picnic & drinks at the end
  • What to wear? – boots that you are OK to get mud & manure on (& a weather proof jacket – we are happy to do tours in the rain if you are)
  • Bookings are essential

All this, and only 40 minutes from the centre of Melbourne city,
and 30 minutes from Melbourne’s Tullamarine airport.

Accommodation is now available at “Ballybrook Farm” (or at “Cnoc Dubh Farm” 5 minutes down the road). If you simply want to get away from the hustle and bustle to the country or the bush, or just to be surrounded by nature on a working Highland cattle & Highland Pony farm, we have options for you.

From here, you can explore the scenery, wineries and history of the Macedon Ranges – all this and only 40 minutes from the centre of Melbourne and 30 minutes from Melbourne airport.

(Private Photo Session at Ballybrook Farm)
Have your very own photo session with our professional photographer, including your choice of our Highland cows and Highland Ponies, utilising the whole farm, farm buildings and animals.

Various sessions are available, and so many back drops and settings can be used – creating opportunities for family photos, wedding photos, or just that perfect birthday gift for a loved one.

Paint, Pat & Pinot

* “Pat a Highland Cow” in the paddock on the farm.
* “Paint a Highland Cow” (we have a selection of images for you to paint – of the cows you will be patting).
* Sip your “Pinot” or other locally sourced wines while you paint (or sparkling water if you would prefer), and nibble on an antipasto plate while you create your own masterpiece.
