If you want quiet, thick calves with lots of Highland character in a moderate framed package, this is the bull for you. Orion has very good leg structure, good feet and his dam and sire's dam have excellent udders. With his spring of rib and depth of body, this is the classical, maternal, functional sire.
We have never before sold straws in Australia from a bull where we haven't had calves on the ground ourselves, but we have seen enough of what this bull can do in the USA that we feel we need to share these genetics straight away. He leaves us with no doubt regarding his muscle expression and capacity to make an impression in the beef world, as well as his style and correctness for the show ring. If nothing else, he will add heaps of hair, good horn shape and dilution colour genes to his calves.
